“Iftar of Nations” The International Iftar event took place on April 7th at the Sa’dabad Historical Cultural Complex in Tehran, with representatives from 85 countries in attendance: Iran, in conjunction with Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, has included Iftar and its associated customs in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list. The event brought together ambassadors, ministers, and cultural delegates from 85 countries such as South Africa, Ivory Coast, Italy, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Bolivia, Uzbekistan, Kenya, Belarus, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Switzerland, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Oman, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Russia, New Zealand, South Korea, Cuba, Belgium, Yemen, Kuwait, Chile, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uruguay, Japan, India, Iraq, Madagascar, Croatia, and Malta, as well as representatives from international organizations like the UN, UNAMI, ECO, UNESCO, APA, AMF, and ICESCO. The attendees gathered to experience an Iranian tradition coinciding with Eid Al-Fitr, graciously hosted by the National Foundation of Fashion, Clothing, and Lifestyle. The event, coordinated by the National Fashion, Clothing, and Lifestyle Foundation in partnership with its sponsors, the Bahamas restaurant and NOHA Company, was a celebration of both the holy month of Ramadan and the ancient festival of Nowruz. This gathering aimed to showcase the culture of Iranian society through lifestyle and Iftar traditions, inviting Muslims and non-Muslims to partake in cultural diversity and unity. Additionally, delegates from various nations were encouraged to collaborate on cultural and economic endeavors. Throughout the event, which aligned with Eid Al-Fitr, traditional Iranian ethnic attire, an Iranian Iftar feast, Iranian musical performances, live recitations of the Rabbana Dua and Maghrib Adhan were highlighted at the Sa’dabad Historical Cultural Complex, all hosted by the National Fashion, Clothing, and Lifestyle Foundation.
